When he founded his company in 1976, Raymond Weil was 50 years old, with 27 years of experience in the watch industry. Carried by his enthusiasm, he began his venture by travelling across Europe and then around the world, with his first models in his pocket. Step by step, he created an international network. After a modest start, his hopes were realised beyond his greatest expectations. A lover of contemporary art, his passion is expressed by a universal support for culture. It was this same drive which led him to fulfil a further challenge to obtain his airplane pilot�s licence at the age of 56. The man who gave his name to the Brand is now the Chairman of RAYMOND WEIL and retired from any daily business.
