No matter your reply, the Brandywine Valley will have you covered for an occasion. From Christmas at Longwood Gardens, to bringing in the new harvest in a manner of which St. Patrick would surely have approved, there are a whole ton of year-round festivities in the Brandywine Valley and fascinating historical surrounds. Welcoming and hospitable, the Brandywine locals truly know how to give their guests a warm reception.

A personal highlight in the Brandywine social function calendar is the Brandywine Valley Big Bang BBQ shared amongst the premises of six prestigious Brandywine Valley Wine Trail vineyards and wineries. Keeping up with the national tradition of Fourth of July fireworks, balloons, streamers, picnics and barbeques, this is one event that's not to be missed! With menus that promise to include pig pickins, chili cookoffs or "roadkill" roasts, it's bound to be intriguing, to say the least!

Be sure to have a digital or even disposable camera handy if you find yourself in the Brandywine Valley for Halloween. You'll want to take as many photos as possible at the amazing annual event of 'The Great Pumpkin Carve' at the Chadds Ford Historical Society as local artists show their stuff in creating creepy and kooky vegetal designs. The following evening the fright fest continues as the works are on display in a candle-lit carved pumpkin exhibition on the Historical Society grounds.

Just keep in mind for your visit to the Brandywine Valley that the Chester County Visitors Center is closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but open every other day of the year.
