When it comes to Farmers Markets in the Brandywine Valley, one's got to admit it we're pretty spoiled for choice! With the range of fresh produce available from the local Amish farmers, it's difficult not to indulge in the best on offer from the land that surrounds us. However, if I was pushed to name my favourite market in the Brandywine Valley, I'd have to concede that it's a close call between the West Chester Growers Market and Booth's Corner Farmers Market.

While I can get everything I need at the West Chester Growers Market, I can get everything I need plus a whole lot more at Booth's Corner Farmers Market. The eclectic collection at Booth's is still as vibrant today as I remember it from my childhood, and it's possible to find anything from home baked goods and funnel cakes to antiques and jewellery. Come the end of the year, it's an unbeatable place to shop for Christmas presents, Christmas food, stocking stuffers, and all those wonderful odds and ends that you can include in your gift Christmas hampers. There's just something about these markets that creates that special Christmas festive feeling for me, a nd no Yuletide would be complete without a trip to Booth's.

Dating back to 1932, Booth's Corner Farmers Market has been offering a unique family shopping experience for generations, and it does feel like stepping back through the ages on entry sometimes! If you're touring through the Brandywine Valley, why not stop in to Booth's Corner Farmers Market to stock up your picnic hamper before heading off hiking or driving for the afternoon? Nothing beats a family picnic, and the family-friendly atmosphere of Booth's provides the perfect opportunity to show your children just how an authentic Farmers Market looks, feels, sounds and smells!

Open all day Fridays and Saturdays, Booth's Corner Farmers Market is simple to access by vehicle from Philadelphia, Wilmington, West Chester or Media.
