The Reading Terminal
You can have seafood, sushi, a Philly cheesesteak or soft pretzel, falafal, peking duck and just about anything else you have an appetite for at the Reading Terminal.

The Reading Terminal at 12th and Market Streets in Philadelphia is the most popular Philadelphia tourist destination after the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.

Originally a home for trains, the Reading Terminal opened on January 29, 1893. 0ne hundred years later this grand Victorian structure is home of an incredible "gastronomic bazaar" and farmer's market offering Philadelphia's Kitchen cooking demonstrations and schools, stands with fresh produce, meats, fish, groceries, flowers, baked goods, crafts, books, clothing, as well as hard-to-find specialties and ethnic foods. You can buy prepared foods ready to pop-in you oven at home or eat at the Terminal at restaurants of every persuasion offering Chinese food, middle eastern specialties, seafood, sushi, Italian, Philadelphia cheese steaks... you name it.
