SUNDAY, MARCH 20, 2005 This is the way our backyard looked before we embarked on our pool saga. We had never owned a pool before and decided to have one put in so we could enjoy the summers relaxing at home. We did our research and decided on Anthony Sylvan Pools as our builder. According to their literature they had over 50 years of experience and more than 330,000 pools to their credit. They offered us a good price and guarantee and some discounts when we signed the contract in the Fall of 2004. We were hoping to have the pool dug before the winter arrived so as to get an early start in the spring, but Pennsbury Township held us up for 4-5 weeks over a variance which it turned out we didn't need afterall. So we waited until spring to see any activity in our backyard. Above is what it looked like before ground breaking. I'm keeping this notebook for two reasons. First, I want to document the construction process since I have no idea what is really involved in building a pool. And second, I thought it might be helpful and informative for other people thinking about a pool. NEXT
